10 Things We All Do But Don’t Admit

Onyinyechi NwanunobiBy Onyinyechi NwanunobiFebruary 1, 2023 Article/Column No Comments3 Mins Read

Well, since no one will admit to them, how did we find out? “There’s nothing new under the sun.”

It is a mixture of embarrassing personal confessions and a dive search into what people admit on the intern

If you thought you were the only one this happened to, think again. This in no way means everyone does the things on this list. They are simply more common than not.

1. Picture yourself (on stage) performing

It could be a song you are listening to or every time you play your favorite song. Most people admitted to watching a performance and wondering what it would be like to be the performer.

2. Pee in the shower

You just started showering and that urge to pee starts calling for your attention. Maybe you even first look around and let the water wash away your shame along with the pee. Hey, maybe you are saving by not flushing frequently.

3. Fantasize about a tragic event and who you’d save

This is a dark place that the mind wanders sometimes “just in case”. The apocalypse, judgment day, and other taboo events. It could be a reaction to something that just happened or a savior fantasy.

4. Talk to yourself

Ever had a memory of an embarrassing moment that you had to yell or talk yourself out of it? Or simply stood in front of the mirror to assert yourself, or to get a confidence boost.

5. Pee on the side of the toilet so it’s not too loud

Trying to keep it down when the toilet next to yours is occupied. You might be at someone’s home and you don’t want to share that moment with their ears. But the biggest has to be when it is so quiet around you that peeing loudly almost feels like a crime.

6. Daydream about being the person you wish to be

Whether you will be that person or not, everyone has that moment when they daydream about being that ‘ideal’ them.

7. Imagining how you would act if someone attacked your group

“I do this ALL THE TIME! It usually involves me gallantly sacrificing myself for my crush.”

8. Makeup scenarios in your head as you fall asleep

Nothing like the blanket of night and darkness and an escape into sleep to indulge in some fantasizing.

9. Look up random things on the internet

Just to see what is and isn’t there.

10. Daydream about winning something (money)

It is usually not so much about the money but what you would do with it. How life would change and how your “haters” would eat the dust of your skyrocketing success.
