Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has denied viral reports suggesting he was arrested in London after a supposed altercation with his wife, Natasha Idibia.

The singer took to social media to clarify that his absence from a planned UK tour stop on October 2, 2025, was due to a sudden health issue, not a domestic dispute.

2Baba expressed gratitude to fans who attended the show despite his absence, assuring them of future performances. “First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organisers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen,” he said in an Instagram post.

The singer criticized those spreading unverified claims, stressing the importance of fact-checking before sharing information. “If una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This ‘allegedly’, I don tire,” 2Baba added, urging people to be more responsible with the information they share.

The rumors, which surfaced online, claimed that 2Baba was arrested after a heated argument with his wife, Natasha. However, 2Baba has put these claims to rest, assuring fans that he is fine and looking forward to regrouping and making something beautiful happen.

2Baba’s management has also dismissed claims that his relationship and marriage controversies on social media are affecting his legacy. According to Chioma Ebubedike-Igbokwe, the Head of Legal and Communication at ‘A Guy Entertainment’, 2Baba’s legacy remains strong despite the controversies.
