Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, is set to deliver a statewide broadcast today, Friday, September 19, 2025, at 6 p.m., marking his official return after the conclusion of the six-month emergency rule in the state.
Announcing the broadcast at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received from residents upon his return. He stated that the address would provide an opportunity to acknowledge and commend key individuals and groups who contributed to restoring peace and stability across Rivers State.
Governor Fubara arrived at the Government House accompanied by his wife, key stakeholders, and security heads, including his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie. He also inspected his official residence and later proceeded to his office before preparing for the broadcast.
The governor’s message is expected to focus on unity, progress, and the continued development of Rivers State as residents tune in across the state.
