President Bola Tinubu restated his administration’s unwavering dedication to the unity of Nigeria and ensuring the welfare and prosperity of all citizens, regardless of their ethnic or religious affiliations.
The president conveyed this commitment during his address at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Central Mosque in Surulere, Lagos, as reported by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
President Tinubu underscored that the economic reforms initiated by his government aim to establish a robust and secure foundation for current and future generations of Nigerians.
He participated in Jumaat prayers marking the centennial anniversary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), expressing commendation for the Society’s contributions to humanity, propagation of Islamic principles, and efforts in uplifting the marginalized.
During his address, the President urged members of the Society to steadfastly pursue their objectives of advancing education and promoting the moral and social development of the Muslim Ummah.
Expressing gratitude to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society for their support during elections, President Tinubu acknowledged that their backing serves as motivation for the government to remain focused on delivering good governance.
He emphasized his commitment to the welfare of all citizens and highlighted recent measures, including a 50 percent reduction in inter-state land transportation fares and the payment of N-Power beneficiaries’ backlog of allowances, aimed at easing the burden on Nigerians during the festive season.
President Tinubu, who is on a brief Christmas holiday in Lagos, assured that more efforts would be made in the new year to address the challenges faced by the citizens.
He lauded Ansar-Ud-Deen’s century-long journey, citing it as a testament to the success of strategic planning in maintaining the organization’s mission and vision in society.
