Harry Kane secured a crucial victory for Bayern Munich with a stoppage-time winner against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga title race.
Bayern Munich English Striker, Harry Kane showcased his prowess with a brilliant left-footed finish after Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting breached the Leipzig defense and set up the opportunity.
The former Tottenham striker had already opened the scoring, firing in a left-footed strike after being assisted by Jamal Musiala.
Despite Benjamin Sesko’s deflected equalizer appearing to secure a point for Leipzig, Kane’s heroics ensured Bayern claimed all three points.
With this win, Kane has now scored 27 Bundesliga goals and 31 in all competitions since joining Bayern from Spurs in the summer.
Bayern remains second in the Bundesliga, trailing unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen by eight points.
The victory comes amid Bayern’s announcement that head coach Thomas Tuchel will depart at the end of the season, adding pressure as they vie for silverware.
Despite recent setbacks in the German Super Cup and German Cup, Kane’s exceptional form continues to propel Bayern’s aspirations. He currently leads the Bundesliga scoring charts, surpassing milestones and setting records with each goal.
However, Kane still trails Robert Lewandowski’s Bundesliga record of 41 goals in a single season. With 11 league games remaining, Kane aims to close the gap and potentially surpass his own top-scoring season record of 41 goals for Tottenham in 2017-18.
