Arsenal Set to Secure David Raya’s Permanent Transfer and Finalize Contract Extensions (Govima Sport Reports)

Arsenal is poised to trigger the buy option clause for goalkeeper David Raya without hesitation, a decision that was made months ago as part of the club’s long-term plan, in a strategic move to strengthen their squad.

The Gunners are set to invest £27 million to secure Raya’s permanent transfer, a move that has been in the works since last summer.

Additionally, Arsenal has already finalized a new deal for defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, ensuring his continued presence at the club. Furthermore, negotiations for a contract extension for defender Ben White are nearing completion

Ben White new deal at Arsenal will be valid until June 2028 and it will also include an option to extend the contract until 2029.

Both Tomiyasu and White have signed their new contracts, waiting for it to be announced.

The decision to seal the deal for David Raya in 2024 comes as no surprise, as Arsenal has been committed to securing his services on a long-term basis. Raya has already signed a potential long-term contract with Arsenal, effective from June 2024, solidifying his status as a key player for the club.

Brentford, Raya’s current club, has accepted this structure due to Financial Fair Play regulations, paving the way for Arsenal to secure the goalkeeper’s services without any obstacles.

As Arsenal continues to bolster their squad and plan for the future, the imminent acquisition of David Raya and the contract extensions for Tomiyasu and White demonstrate the club’s determination to build a competitive team capable of challenging for top honors.
