President Tinubu Congratulates Governor Aiyedatiwa On New Term.
President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State following his inauguration for a fresh term in office.
Aiyedatiwa, who took over from the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, was sworn in on Monday in Akure. The announcement was made in a statement by the President’s spokesman, Mr Bayo Onanuga.
In his congratulatory message, Tinubu urged the governor to use his mandate to serve the people diligently and build on the legacy of his predecessor.
“I congratulate you on your successful inauguration today for a new term of office after an outstanding run in the last governorship election in Ondo State,” the President stated.
Recognising Akeredolu’s contributions to the state’s growth and national development, Tinubu encouraged Aiyedatiwa to continue in the same spirit of progress and dedication.
“You have the rare privilege to succeed your illustrious predecessor, who worked for the growth and development of the state and advanced the progress of Nigeria as a whole,” he added.
The President also assured Aiyedatiwa of his support in ensuring the state’s prosperity.
“I will be your partner in progress to usher in a new era of prosperity to the people of Ondo State,” Tinubu affirmed.
The inauguration marks the beginning of a new chapter for Ondo State, with expectations high for continued development and governance that prioritises the welfare of the people.
