After a narrow 2-1 win in the first leg in Seville, Manuel Pellegrini’s men faced a stern test in Italy. Fiorentina took the lead on the night through Robin Gosens, who scored twice late in the first half. Betis will now face Chelsea in the UEFA Conference League final at Stadion Wrocław on Wednesday, 28 May. Enzo Maresca’s Blues advanced with a 5-1 aggregate triumph over Swedish side Djurgården, sealed by a 1-0 win in the second leg at Stamford Bridge. The Seville outfit will look to cap their remarkable European journey with a maiden continental trophy.
