Proven Track Record at NLNG

  • Odeh brings over 30 years of rich experience in communications, business administration, and policy across the oil and gas, advertising, and broadcasting sectors

  • Roles at NLNG: Over a distinguished 26-year career, he served across multiple divisions including Community Relations and Development, Business Logistics & Services, Information Management & Technology, Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, Government Relations, Compliance, and culminated as General Manager of External Relations and Sustainable Development

NNPC’s Strategic Communication Vision

NNPC’s announcement underscored that the appointment of Odeh, as well as that of Morenike Adewunmi as Chief Relations Officer, reflects the organization’s commitment to elevating stakeholder engagement and reinforcing brand positioning amid its transformation agenda.

Academic and Professional Foundations

  • Education: Odeh is an alumnus of the University of Jos, University of Lagos, INSEAD Business School, and the Nigeria Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), a background that complements his sector prowess

  • Professional Recognition: His leadership and integrity have earned commendations, among them; an Award of Excellence at the energyTIMES Awards, where he was honored for achievements including NLNG’s rebranding efforts

Leadership Context

This appointment comes under the leadership of Bayo Ojulari, the current Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Ltd., who assumed office on April 2, 2025, following a restructuring of the company’s board by President Bola Tinubu.

What This Means for NNPC

By entrusting its communications helm to Odeh, an individual with deep institutional knowledge and strategic vision, NNPC appears poised to elevate its external narrative, institutional image, and stakeholder relations.
