Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. Representative to the United Nations, attended the Wisconsin State Fair on Monday to explore the state’s agricultural advancements aimed at enhancing food security.
Accompanied by Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture Randy Romanski, USDA State Director for Wisconsin Julie Lassa, Department of Agriculture Board Member Carla Washington, and Wisconsin State Fair Park Board Chair John Yingling, the Ambassador engaged with local initiatives and sampled unique culinary offerings at the Wisconsin Products Pavilion and Central Market.
As a steadfast advocate for tackling food insecurity, Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield has prioritized this issue throughout her tenure. During her three-year presidency of the Security Council, she has emphasized the importance of food security.
Recently, in Atlanta, she brought together representatives from American companies to discuss innovative solutions to combat food insecurity both domestically and internationally.
