Angry Wikki Fans Blame Coach Dogo For Shooting Draw

Wikki Tourist fans blamed Coach for poor result

Angry Wikki Tourist fans blamed the coach Kabir Dogo for their home draw against visiting Shooting Stars.

According to reports, fans said the Coach started with a ‘weak’ line-up while benching in-form players like Victor Okoro and Abubakar Aliyu. They also wondered why team captain Idris Guda did not start despite impressing in training.

It was a disappointing result for wiki Tourist, who sit in the 10th position with 46 points in the table.

The fans who conversed in groups after the match would suggest that the Management to intervene and ensure that the remaining games are executed with the right players starting from the away match against Gombe United.

Idrisa Guda rescue a point for the home side with a penalty in 90+1 minutes.

Coach Dogo handed starting roles to Sunday Haruna, Victor Dawa, Prince John, Anas Yusuf and Uchenna Frank Udeh.

After a barren first half, the visitors took the lead after eight minutes when Opeoluwa Olufemi jumped highest and nodded in a free-kick by Aneakwe Ebuka.

The home team tried to get even but were denied by heroic saves of Dede Dare who was between the sticks for the Oluloye Warriors.

Hope was given to Wikki after substitute Gali Falke handled the ball in the box with just five minutes to full time, giving way to another substitute Idris Mohammed Guda to calmly send Dede the wrong way and restore parity.

With four weeks to go, it will be a nervous ending especially to the fans who had high hopes after their last away performance where they earned a draw at Kano Pillars.
