A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Victor Ogba, has advised President Bola Tinubu to disregard recent remarks made by former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El Rufai.
Ogba urged the President to focus on his economic reforms and not be distracted by El Rufai’s comments.
According to Ogba, El Rufai’s criticisms reflect long standing political differences rather than genuine concern for national progress. “President Tinubu should not allow himself to be drawn into unnecessary exchanges. Nigerians are interested in results, not distractions,” Ogba stated.
The APC chieftain described President Tinubu as a leader with a national outlook, adding that ongoing reforms would speak louder than personal attacks. He emphasized that Nigerians should focus on the achievements of the Tinubu administration, noting that the President has demonstrated commitment to economic recovery, national unity, and inclusive governance.
Ogba’s comments come amid controversy surrounding El Rufai’s recent allegations that President Tinubu might attempt to rule Nigeria for life if not checked. The presidency and the APC have dismissed El Rufai’s assertion, describing it as unfounded and ridiculous.
The APC chieftain’s advice to President Tinubu is seen as a vote of confidence in the administration’s ability to drive economic reforms and improve the lives of Nigerians. Ogba’s statement also highlights the importance of unity and support for the government in overcoming current challenges.
As the debate surrounding El Rufai’s comments continues, many Nigerians are analyzing the seriousness of the warning and the future of the country. While some believe that El Rufai’s concerns are valid, others see it as a mere political distraction.
The presidency has reiterated its firm commitment to democratic principles, assuring Nigerians that President Tinubu would step down upon completion of his lawful term.
