APC Governors Visit Buhari In Kaduna, Reaffirm Party Unity And Commitment To Good Governance.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari received members of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) at his residence in Kaduna on Monday, as governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) paid a solidarity visit to honour the party elder statesman.
Led by the PGF Chairman and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, the governors described their visit as a show of unity and strength within the APC, emphasising the party’s continued stability and dominance ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to journalists after a closed-door meeting, Uzodimma highlighted the significance of the visit, which took place after the Ramadan, Lent, and Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
“We felt it was important to come and pay homage to our former president, who served the country diligently for eight years under our party,” Uzodimma said. “President Buhari is not just a former leader, but a father figure in the APC. We are happy to find him in good health and high spirits.”
The governors also used the occasion to reaffirm the APC’s commitment to promoting good governance and delivering on its promises to the Nigerian people.
They expressed confidence in the party’s internal cohesion and capacity to retain its position as the largest political party in the country, stating that the APC is growing stronger as preparations gradually begin for the next electoral cycle.
The visit is seen as a strategic gesture to consolidate party unity and demonstrate respect for foundational leaders of the APC, reinforcing the party’s message of continuity and collective progress.
