Apple has unveiled a rich lineup of entertainment experiences for its upcoming mixed-reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, set to hit the market on February 2.

The headset is set to debut with an impressive array of features, including 150 3D movies, immersive films and series, Travel Mode functionality, and support for popular streaming services like Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video.

Users of the Vision Pro will have the ability to download and stream content from a variety of platforms, including Disney+, ESPN, MLB, PGA Tour, Max, Discovery+, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, Peacock, and others.

The device is designed to offer an extensive selection of entertainment options, making it a versatile and immersive experience for users.

Key features at launch include the availability of 3D movies such as “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “Dune,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” and “The Super Mario Bros.” Users can access 3D versions of eligible movies through the Apple TV app, with no additional cost for those who own or purchase movies with a 3D edition.

Apple Vision Pro will introduce a new entertainment format called Apple Immersive Video, showcasing 180-degree 3D 8K recordings with Spatial Audio. A curated selection of immersive films and series, including titles like “Adventure” and “Wild Life,” will be available at launch.

The headset is equipped with micro-OLED displays featuring a combined 23 million pixels, wide color, high dynamic range, and Dolby Vision. Notable features also include a “Travel Mode” for stabilizing visuals during plane usage and a “Guest Users” feature for sharing specific apps and experiences with others.

Preorders for the Apple Vision Pro, priced at $3,500, open on January 19 at 5 a.m. PT. At launch, the Vision Pro App Store will offer compatibility with “more than 1 million” iOS and iPadOS apps, along with experiences tailored specifically for the mixed-reality headset.
