The National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended the appointment of 11 persons as Justices of the Supreme Court. The NJC also recommended the appointment of 1 Justice of the Court of Appeal, 6 heads of Court and 26 other judicial officers. The N27.5trn budget proposal is being scrutinized by the National Assembly. The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions has issued warrants for the arrest of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, the Accountant General of the Federation, Oluwatoyin Madein, and 17 other officials for failing to appear before the committee.
