The Federal Capital Territory High Court, Wuse Zone 2, Abuja on Tuesday dismissed the no case submission application filed by Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the World Bank’s $1.5 billion budget support. The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, announced this on Monday while briefing reporters after the federal cabinet meeting in Abuja. The Labour Party (LP) has said that the allegations made by its factional Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi about the party’s flag bearer, Peter Obi is dubious. Belgium’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Sweden was abandoned at half-time for security reasons after two Swedish people were shot dead in Brussels. The killings happened in the city hours before the game and are being treated as terrorism. The decision to abandon the game was confirmed at about 21:30 BST. Senator Elisha Abbo, the lawmaker representing Adamawa North Senatorial District has alleged that the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio was behind his removal from the Senate. On Monday, October 16, 2023, the Court of Appeal in Abuja nullified Abbo’s election and declared Amos Yohanna, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the February 25 senatorial election. A set of conjoined twins delivered by medical experts at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) have died, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. The Chief Medical Director, LASUTH, Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, made this known in an interview with NAN on Monday in Lagos. The Court of Appeal in Abuja has voided the election of Senator Ishaku Abbo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker representing Adamawa North in the National Assembly. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Abbo winner of the February 25, 2023 parliamentary election, but Amos Yohanna, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, rejected the result and headed for the court.
