The Lagos State Government has warned owners of home units in all government-owned estates that have not been occupied for three months that they are at risk of losing their allocations. The warning was issued by the Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, during a facility tour to assess the level of work at Sheridan Garden Estate, Urban Shelter, and LagosHOMS Sangotedo Phase II, all in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area. The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has released an explainer to defend its action of lifting foreign exchange restrictions on the 43 items excluded from accessing foreign exchange from the official market.
