The Federal Ministry of Works has appointed Mrs. Olukorede Keisha, a civil engineer, as the new Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State. Keisha assumed duties on Friday. Until her promotion, Keisha was the Assistant Director in charge of Federal Highways in Lagos. She took over from Umar Bakare who has been promoted to the directorate cadre and is required to resume at the headquarters of the Ministry of Works and Housing in Abuja. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Commander in Bauchi State, Mr. Yusuf Abdullahi, has called for the application of Sharia Law to prosecute traffic offenders to stem road crashes across Nigeria. The Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority has shut down over 75 filling stations in Osun State. On Wednesday, Mr. Kunle Adeyemo, NMDPRA state Coordinator disclosed this while briefing journalists on the agency’s activities in April.
