D’Tigress 6 game unbeaten run came to an end as they lost their second group 2 qualifying game against USA in Brussels.
The Nigeria female basketball team D’Tigress currently competing at the Olympic qualifiers in Brussels lost their second group 2 game against USA in after emerging winners against Senegal yesterday.
The game was totally different to their encounter and they were overpowered by their counterpart from the United States of America.
The first quarter was closely matched but things sprung out of control in the second quarter, where they lost Woefully by 7:32 points. The margin was large that every effort to come back into the game amount to nothing.
At the end of the fourth quarter, it finished between D’Tigress and USA ladies 46:100
The team’s coach Rena Wakama however has given a word of encouragement to her ladies for showing courage and effort in the difficult moments.
Their next game comes up on Sunday, 4:15pm Nigerian time as they tackle Belgium in the final round of group encounter.
