Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde has raised an alarm about a fake WhatsApp account created in her name to scam unsuspecting individuals.
Akintunde shared screenshots of the impersonator on her Instagram story, showing how the scammer is posing as her to solicit money from her followers.
The actress expressed frustration and disappointment, condemning the scammer for attempting to profit from her hard work. She warned the public to be cautious of the impersonator on any media platform.
Akintunde urged her fans to help report the scammer’s WhatsApp and bank accounts. She also prayed for protection from such fraudulent individuals.
In her words, “Please disregard any message from anyone asking you to send money. It’s not me. I don’t own the number displayed. I would appreciate it if we could report both the WhatsApp and Opay accounts.”
