Serie A side AS Roma have announced that they have parted ways with manager Jose Mourinho.

Following a poor run of form that has left the club ninth on the log in Serie A, Roma have announced they have parted ways with the Portuguese Coach.

Jose Mourinho who took over as Roma manager in 2021 shortly after being sacked by Tottenham enjoyed a successful first campaign at Roma, winning the club their first trophy in 11 years by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League. In his second season, he guided the team to the Europa League final where they lost to Sevilla.





However in the current campaign, struggles in the league created tensions between himself and the board, and those tensions continued to increase this season with the form of the side getting Worse.

“AS Roma can confirm that Jose Mourinho his coaching staff will leave the club with immediate effect,” the club said in a statement. As seen on their official X (formally Twitter) account.

The Club however thanked Mourinho for everything he achieved with them.

“Further updates on the new First Team coaching staff will follow imminently”, The Club Announced.

Transfer Guru Fabrizio in a recent update believes Roma are looking at former player Daniele de Rossi as new head coach.

And that Contacts already taking place between AS Roma and Daniele de Rossi as potential new head coach.

De Rossi, keen on this possibility as he always had the dream to return to the club.

Final decision expected soon.
