The incident occurred on Saturday morning around 9 am when the vehicle carrying the team fell off a bridge in Dakstalle town, approximately 50 kilometers from Kano.
According to reports, the team had been traveling overnight since Thursday night after the completion of the festival. The Kano contingent had participated in the 22nd National Sports Festival, also known as the Gateway Games 2025, and won 29 medals, including gold, silver, and bronze.
