BREAKING Nigerian Immigration Seizes Senator Natasha’s Passport

Senator Natasha Akpoti‑Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, had her international passport seized by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The senator was reportedly stopped at the airport and informed that her passport was being held under a “watch list” designation.

Speaking to journalists, Akpoti‑Uduaghan said, “I have committed no offence and there is no order from the court to withdraw my passport and deny me travelling.”

Eyewitnesses said the passport was later returned after intervention, allowing the senator to continue with her scheduled travel.

The incident has sparked discussions about travel rights and the powers of immigration authorities in Nigeria.
