The men’s football event will feature the eight quarter-finalists of the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt 2023, with the host Nation Ghana completing the list.

The other participating countries are Benin, Congo, Gambia, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia and Uganda.

Recall that Nigeria’s Flying Eagles won Bronze at the 2023 U20 AFCON in Egypt as Nigeria Defeated Tunisia 4-0 in the third-place match.

On the other hand, the Falconets also made the list for the women’s U20 category having reached the fourth qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Other enlisted countries that will be competing include: the hosts Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Morocco, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda.

The Nigeria U20 girls will be hoping to defend their title, which they won back in Morocco in 2019 edition.
