Breaking! CAF, LOC Announce Free e-Visas For AFCON Morocco 2025 Fans

Move aims to boost accessibility, streamline travel, and enhance fan experience ahead of Africa’s premier football tournament.

In a major move to boost accessibility for football supporters across Africa, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), together with the Local Organising Committee (LOC), has announced that e-visas for fans attending the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Morocco 2025 will now be available free of charge.

Key Details of the Announcement

  1. Free e-Visa via YALLA App
Supporters traveling to Morocco for AFCON 2025 can apply for an electronic visa through the YALLA app, CAF and LOC confirmed. The visa comes at no cost for fans.

  2. Fan ID Requirement
A mandatory Fan ID is required for entry to all stadiums and official fan zones. The YALLA app serves as a one-stop platform to apply for both the Fan ID and the e-visa simultaneously.

  3. How to Apply

    • Fans should download the YALLA app (available on Google Play or App Store), or use the web portal at yallamorocco.ma.

    • Complete the Fan ID form and, if eligible, the e-visa request in a single flow.

    • After approval, ticket purchases can be made via CAF’s official ticketing site: tickets.cafonline.com.

  4. Support Services
A 24/7 helpdesk has been established to assist applicants, with support available in Arabic, English, and French.

    • Phone: +212 5 30 30 20 30

    • Email: info@yallamorocco.ma

Context & Rationale

  • The free e-visa initiative is part of CAF’s and Morocco’s broader strategy to streamline travel and enhance the fan experience during Africa’s most prestigious football tournament.

  • The YALLA app, launched ahead of the competition, is designed to act as a centralized hub for fans—to manage ticketing, Fan ID issuance, and visa applications.

  • The third phase of AFCON ticket sales opens on 15 November 2025, coinciding with the rollout of these visa measures.

  • The tournament is scheduled from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, across nine stadiums in six Moroccan cities.

Reactions & Significance

  • Fan Relief: The cost elimination for visas is expected to significantly reduce the financial burden on many traveling supporters, especially those coming from outside Morocco.

  • Improved Access: By consolidating visa and Fan ID processing into a single digital platform, CAF and LOC aim to make participation in the tournament more accessible and less bureaucratic.

  • Tourism Boost: The move is also likely to boost tourism as fans travel to Morocco not only for the football matches but also to explore the country.

  • Operational Efficiency: The 24/7 multilingual support underscores the commitment to handling potentially high application volumes and ensuring that all fans, regardless of nationality, can navigate the process.

Bottom Line: CAF and Morocco’s LOC have taken a significant step to welcome fans to AFCON Morocco 2025 by removing visa costs and simplifying the application process via the YALLA app—an initiative likely to drive greater attendance and foster a more inclusive fan experience.
