Former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign during the February 2023 presidential election, Daniel Bwala, has called upon the former LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to provide insights into the reasons behind the United Kingdom’s recent plunge into recession.
Bwala made his remarks via his official X app platform.
In his post, Bwala addressed Obi, stating, “Oga Pitobi @PeterObi, the UK has officially descended into recession attributed to a struggling economy and escalating food inflation. Kindly elucidate how they veered off course from the success trajectories of Egypt, China, and Malaysia, please? It’s concerning how they’ve regressed from production to conjunction.”
He further emphasised, “When we highlighted inflation as a global issue requiring collective national efforts for growth, some opted to politicise the unfortunate situation.”
Bwala’s statement underscores the need for a unified approach to economic challenges and urges for constructive engagement rather than political posturing in addressing critical issues affecting nations globally.
