Former Big Brother Naija star Deeone has stirred up controversy by comparing the lavish weddings of Nigerian music stars Mr Eazi and Davido.
According to him, Mr Eazi’s wedding to Temi Otedola cost a staggering $14 million, with ceremonies held across Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland. On the other hand, he claimed Davido’s Miami wedding to Chioma came in at $6 million, which is less than half the amount.
Deeone emphasized the high-profile nature of Mr Eazi’s wedding, noting that it was graced by some of Africa’s wealthiest individuals, including Aliko Dangote and Abdul Samad Rabiu. The multi-location celebration, according to him, reflected not just wealth but also exclusivity, with only top-tier guests in attendance.
Adding to the debate, Nigerian actor Patrick Doyle weighed in by highlighting the difference in the guest lists between the two weddings. While Davido’s celebration had a more mixed crowd with celebrities and public figures, Mr Eazi’s guest list was described as being filled mostly with accomplished and influential individuals, further fueling the comparison between the two star-studded unions.
