At the on going AFCON 2023 final group F opener between DR Congo and Zambia, the match ended in a stalemate yet again as DR Congo and Zambia played out a 1-1 draw. Govima Sport Reports.

Zambia and DR Congo drew 1-1 as the opening round of group games at the Africa Cup of Nations came to a close.

Against the run of play, Kings Kangwa made the most of a defensive mix-up to put Zambia ahead in the 23rd minute.

shortly afterwards about four minutes later, the Leopards got back on level terms in the Group F match thanks to a close-range equaliser from Brentford forward Yoane Wissa.

DR Congo thought they have gotten the chance to earn the maximum 3 point, when they were awarded a second-half penalty for handball, but the decision was overturned after a VAR review.

In the end both teams settled for a draw to bring to a close the first round of matches in the AFCON 2023 tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.

Second Group Games begins tomorrow and all eyes will be on the Group A match between Super Eagles Of Nigeria and The Hosts Nation The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
