In a recent turn of events at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja, Vera Anyim, the woman embroiled in a controversy after being interrupted during her testimony, has expressed her forgiveness towards the church and its Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche.
The incident unfolded during Anyim’s testimony when she claimed to have graduated with a “Bsc in Law” from the National Open University of Nigeria.
However, Enenche intervened, questioning the veracity of her statements and instructing her to leave the pulpit.
Following widespread criticism and demands for an apology from the pastor, Anyim took to her Facebook page to announce her reconciliation with Dr. Enenche and his wife, Becky. She emphasised her commitment to serving at Dunamis Church and urged everyone to move forward from the incident.
In response, the church issued a statement clarifying their concerns regarding Anyim’s testimony, particularly her language proficiency and academic credentials. The statement highlighted discrepancies in her statements, leading to doubts about the legitimacy of her qualifications.
Despite the church’s commitment to upholding standards of excellence, they expressed regret over the embarrassment caused to Anyim and reiterated their support for her spiritual and physical well-being.
Further revelations from Anyim’s Facebook page confirmed her graduation from the National Open University of Nigeria, though with a third-class degree, not the Bsc in Law she initially claimed. She lamented the public embarrassment she endured but remained resilient in her faith.
