Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has distributed 7,158 goats to empower 2,386 women as part of an economic initiative. Each beneficiary was to receive three goats under the second phase of the Livestock Fattening Programme within the Kano Agro-Pastoral Development Project.
This initiative aims to promote livestock entrepreneurship among vulnerable groups, specifically targeting women across the state’s 44 local government areas. The program is intended to help reduce poverty by providing women with the means to become economically self-reliant through livestock management.
