Erling Haaland Dismisses Roy Keane’s Criticism with Stellar Performance
Erling Haaland’s response to Roy Keane’s recent criticism was as resolute as his on-field performances.
After Keane labeled Haaland “almost League Two level” following Manchester City’s goalless draw with Arsenal, the Norwegian forward has since silenced doubters with an impressive run of form.
City’s scoring drought at the Etihad Stadium and Haaland’s personal goal drought ended in that Arsenal match. Since then, City has won six consecutive league matches, closing the gap to league leaders Arsenal to just one point, with a game in hand.
Haaland, 23, has been instrumental in City’s resurgence, netting seven goals in four league outings, including a sensational four-goal display against Wolves in a 5-1 victory.
Asked about Keane’s comments after the Wolves match, Haaland responded coolly, saying, “I don’t really care that much about that man, so that’s all right.”
