Federal Government Unveils Additional Motor Parks Offering 50% Transport Fare Rebate For Festive Season

In a recent announcement on the official X account (formerly Twitter) of Temitope Ajayi, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, the federal government has expanded its list of motor parks where Nigerians can enjoy a 50% rebate on transport fares for return trips during the festive season.

The update was shared on Friday, December 29, as part of the government’s commitment to subsidize travel expenses for citizens during the yuletide.

Initially introduced on Monday, December 25, the 50% transportation rebate program has already seen 128 road transport passengers on northern routes benefiting from a refund of half of their fares, according to one of the groups monitoring the implementation.

The extended list of motor parks offering the 50% rebate on transport fares includes:





1. Lagos – Join from Oshodi Terminal 3
2. Abuja – Join from Jabi Park
3. Onitsha – Join from Umugo Park (Port Harcourt Road)
4. Aba – Join from Abia Polytechnic, Aba
5. Kano – Join from Balmary Park, Ring Road/Maiduguri Bypass, Hotoro
6. Kaduna – Join from Mando Park (Lagos route), Join from Television Garage for the Eastern route
7. Jos – Join from Gadabiu Luxury Park
8. Enugu – (Abakiliki/Nsukka) – Join from Old Park in Enugu
9. Owerri – Join from Somachi Park
10. Port Harcourt – Join from Olu Obasanjo Ezenwata Park
11. Sokoto– Join from Sokoto Central Park
12. Gombe – Join from Gombe Central Park
13. Zakibiam – Join from Heavy Duty Park
14. Uyo – Join from The Young Shall Grow Park
15. Uyo – Join from Young Shall Grow Park (No.17 Mosignor Akpan Avenue, Mbak Itam Itu, Akwa Ibom)
16. Uyo – Join from The Young Shall Grow Park (No.17 Mosignor Akpan Avenue, Mbak Itam Itu, Akwa Ibom)
17. Gombe – Join at Gombe Line Park, Opposite Government House, Gombe.

This initiative aims to provide financial relief to travelers during the festive period, promoting accessibility and affordability in transportation.
