Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Final Squad Announced for Tournament

Following extensive training and preparation, the head coach of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, Ladan Bosso, has unveiled the final list of players for the upcoming competition. The announcement comes after rigorous training sessions in Abuja as the team gears up for the games.

The squad predominantly features players who represented the country at the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina, highlighting the continuity and experience within the team. Daniel Daga, the team captain, leads the list of players selected for the tournament.

Nigeria finds itself placed in a challenging group alongside South Sudan, Uganda, and Senegal, setting the stage for intense competition.





The final squad comprises:

  • Goalkeepers: Nathaniel Nwosu, Clinton Ezekiel, Samuel James
  • Defenders: Daniel Bameyi, Ibrahim Abdullahi, Oladapo Akintola, Godwin Sampson, Haruna Aliyu, Rabiu Abdullahi
  • Midfielders: Daniel Daga, Favour Izuogu, Auwal Ibrahim, Yinka Oladunjoye, Sulaiman Idris
  • Forwards: Kehinde Ibrahim, Charles Agada, Nasir Muhammed, Sunday Joseph, Olalekan Ibrahim, Sadiq Isiyaka

With a blend of talent and experience, the Flying Eagles aim to make a mark in the upcoming tournament and showcase the prowess of Nigerian youth football as a dominant force in African football.
