Former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election, Daniel Bwala, has asserted that President Tinubu has the constitutional authority to govern Nigeria from any location worldwide.
In a statement on his verified social media platform, Bwala emphasised that the president’s capacity to lead the nation remains intact regardless of his physical whereabouts.
He countered criticisms regarding the absence of both the President and Vice President simultaneously, highlighting constitutional provisions under Section 5 to support his stance.
Bwala’s remarks come amidst a backdrop of heightened scrutiny following Atiku Abubakar’s recent comments advocating for stricter regulations to prevent both the President and Vice President from being out of the country simultaneously.
