Fishe NG reports that the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has officially clarified that no protest took place on its campus.
In a comment on Fishe NG’s LinkedIn page, the university refuted claims linking the alleged demonstration to the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), stating that no such event occurred on its premises.
According to FUOYE, “There was no protest on our campus. The faceless individuals involved are neither students nor staff of the university. The demonstration, if it can be called that, took place approximately 10km away from the university gate.”
The university emphasized that academic activities, including lectures, have proceeded as planned, with campus life continuing in a safe and orderly manner for both students and staff.
