How To Have A Fruitful Holy Week

Christians have officially entered Holy Week.

Here’s how you can have a rewarding week.

For one week out of the entire year, Christians remember the final days and resurrection of Christ with celebrations and observing traditions.

It is therefore the most important week in the Christian faith.

During this period,“Holy Week is a time to clear our schedules of unnecessary activities. Our minds and hearts should be fixed on Jesus and what He did for us.”

He adds that the “Holy week really encompasses a lot, and the better for one understands the meanings behind the different days, the better one will be able to celebrate Easter with a clean spirit due to the fact that Easter is important because all of Christianity revolves around the death and resurrection of Jesus.”

Refocus your life purpose

It can be easy to lose touch with healthy habits, new lifestyles, and good choices in day-to-day life. Holy Week is one of the best opportunities to refocus.

“We often replicate the process Jesus underwent on the cross in a symbolic sense. We die to our old selves. We also are “buried” through the sacrament of baptism and experience a resurrection and new life in Christ. Christ gives us a new life holistically,”

Welcome more freedom in your life

One of the symbols of Holy Week is the breaking away from the old practices that Jesus’ death made obsolete. In many ways, as individuals, it is easy to get stuck in old ways of doing things even if they don’t serve us or add value to our lives.

“In short, we would be meaningless as a religion, because our sins would not be forgiven by Christ. If it wasn’t for Easter we would have to continue living as the Jews of old and offering animal sacrifices to the Lord for our sins.”

Boost your self-confidence

Emulating Jesus and His life is important for the well-being of the believer. This is not limited to practicing the faith but also in other areas of life. The reassurance from Christ’s life can show in everything you do. This means letting go of blame, shame, and guilt and conducting self in ways that eliminate these negative emotions.

“For to this end Christ died and lived again, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living” – (Romans 14:9). We celebrate Easter and Holy Week as well because God lived the life we should have lived, and died the death we deserve to die so that we could live. In so doing we can experience resurrection with Him!”
