IPMAN Orders Unregistered Members To Join Dangote Refinery Ahead Of September 15 Fuel Distribution Kickoff

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has issued a directive to all its members who have not yet registered with the Dangote Refinery, urging them to complete their registration without delay.

This move comes ahead of the planned commencement of direct fuel distribution by the refinery on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The association made this announcement through an internal memo jointly signed by its National President, Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi Shettima, and the National Secretary, Hon. James Terlumun Tor. The memo was addressed to all zonal and depot chairmen across the country.

According to the memo, the National Executive Committee (NEC) of IPMAN is pleased to inform members who have already renewed their membership in accordance with the association’s 2009 Constitution (as amended) that operations with Dangote Refinery are now underway.

Specifically, the memo confirmed that payment, loading, and fuel supply operations have begun at the Dangote Refinery. Members who are fully registered with the refinery are therefore encouraged to proceed with their payments to begin receiving petroleum products.

The association stressed that all registered IPMAN members are expected to act without delay, as the refinery is now fully positioned to distribute products directly to various parts of the country.

As stated in the document, full product loading and direct to location supply by the Dangote Refinery will officially commence on Monday, September 15, 2025. This marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas sector.

IPMAN leadership emphasized that the arrangement will allow marketers to receive products directly from the refinery, bypassing intermediaries and improving efficiency in fuel distribution nationwide.

For members who have not yet signed up with the refinery, the association issued a strong call to action: complete your registration immediately to be part of the distribution process.

The NEC further reiterated that this partnership with Dangote Refinery represents a major opportunity for members to benefit from a more reliable and structured fuel supply chain.

The Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest, is expected to play a central role in easing fuel supply challenges in Nigeria, offering an alternative to imported petroleum products and helping to stabilize prices.

IPMAN believes the engagement with the refinery aligns with its broader goal of protecting and empowering independent marketers by ensuring they have access to direct fuel sourcing.

The leadership concluded the memo by encouraging cooperation and swift action from all members to ensure a smooth rollout of the new supply structure starting Monday.
