JAMB Releases 2025 Mock UTME Results, Assures Candidates Of Improved Exam Experience.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted on Thursday, 10 April 2025.

Candidates who participated in the optional mock examination can now check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019 using the same mobile number registered for the exam.

This year’s mock examination was designed not only to test candidates’ readiness but also to trial JAMB’s latest innovations in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format ahead of the main UTME.

A total of 200,115 candidates initially registered for the mock exam. However, two withdrew, resulting in a final count of 200,113. On the day of the examination, 73,844 candidates were absent, while 88 candidates could not sit for the test due to failed biometric verification.

Consequently, 126,181 candidates successfully took the mock examination, with results for 115,735 candidates now available. The results of 10,446 others are currently being processed and will be released shortly.

JAMB acknowledged that some candidates experienced delays during the mock exercise and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused. These challenges, according to the Board, are expected as a result of the new features being piloted to improve the quality and security of the main UTME.

The mock UTME has consistently proven useful over the years, helping the Board identify and rectify operational gaps, while offering candidates a valuable opportunity to familiarise themselves with the CBT environment.

JAMB commended candidates and parents for their understanding and cooperation, encouraging all stakeholders to continue supporting efforts aimed at ensuring a smoother, more efficient examination experience in the future.
