Jose Peseiro the head coach of the Super Eagles has expressed his joy after being awarded national honour alongside his entire team
Jose Peseiro and his players were received at the Presidential Villa by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday after their exploit at the AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Portuguese and his players were awarded with national honours, plots of land as well as flats in the Federal Capital Territory.
While reacting to this on his official X account, Peseiro said:
“Honored and proud. We were received and commended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who reinforced what we already felt from the Nigerian people, participating in AFCON made the whole Nation dream, happy and united!”
The Super Eagles emerged second at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire
The Continent’s power house, lost 2-1 against hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the AFCON tournament played last Sunday.
