JUST IN: Court Confirms Udeze As National Chairman Of Action Alliance

The Federal High Court in Abuja has confirmed Kenneth Udeze as the National Chairman of Action Alliance (AA), dismissing a challenge filed by party member Adekunle Rufai Omoaje.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu ruled that the suit lacked merit and upheld Udeze’s leadership.

Omoaje had argued that a national convention held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, produced a new executive leadership, which he claimed should replace Udeze’s administration. The plaintiff sought the court’s validation of this convention as legitimate.

In his judgment, Justice Egwuatu agreed with submissions from Udeze’s lawyer, Ezenwa Ibegbunam, stating that the case was incompetent and could not stand. The court accordingly dismissed the action.

Reacting to the judgment, Udeze described it as a “landmark decision” that resolves a long-standing leadership dispute within the party. He added that the ruling “vindicates the rule of law and ends illegal claims over the party leadership.”

Udeze also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for respecting due process and upholding the rule of law in managing the party’s leadership matters.

With the court’s decision, the Action Alliance leadership dispute is now conclusively settled, allowing the party to focus on its internal organization and political activities.
