The Nigerian Air Force NAF on Wednesday 19 November 2025 carried out precision air interdiction missions against terrorist camps in the ARRA area of the Sambisa Forest.
The operation was confirmed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information for the NAF.
Ejodame explained that the airstrikes were conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai following a series of intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance ISR missions that detected movements linked to the October 17 attack on troops near Kashomri.
He stated that continuous ISR monitoring over Kashomri and the Sambisa axis revealed suspicious activities and several active structures in ARRA, prompting a coordinated and targeted strike by NAF aircraft.
According to him, the jets engaged the identified locations in multiple attack passes which resulted in the destruction of the terrorist hideouts and facilities.
Ejodame added that the operation dealt a significant blow to the terrorists by disrupting their command control and logistics capabilities within the forested region.
He noted that the mission reflects the Nigerian Air Force’s ongoing commitment to supporting ground forces and tackling security threats across all operational theatres through intelligence driven operations.
