The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up from 42nd to 28th in the latest FIFA men’s ranking released on Thursday morning (Govima Sport Reports)
FIFA Ranking latest: the Nigeria Super Eagles who were runners up at the just concluded AFCON 2023 are now ranked 28th in the world from the previous position of 42nd. Moving 14 places up the ladder after a brilliant AFCON tournament.
And in like manner they are now ranked the third best team in Africa.
Morocco remain the highest ranked country on the continent, with Senegal retaining the second spot.
Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire complete the top five teams on the continent.
The AFCON winners moved into 5th following their exploit at the just concluded AFCON tournament.
Another update of the FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking will be publicised in 4 April 2024.
