The family of Senator Patrick Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader representing Benue South, is in deep mourning following the tragic death of his son, Victor Moro.

Victor died in a fatal road accident on Sunday, October 19, 2025, along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State. He had recently returned to Nigeria after completing his studies in Turkey and was preparing to begin the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme when the accident occurred.

This heartbreaking loss comes just a day after the family laid to rest Senator Moro’s grandson, Abba Moro Jr., who passed away under undisclosed circumstances. The double tragedy has left the Moro family and the wider community shocked and grieving. Friends and associates have described the events as unimaginable and deeply saddening.

Victor Moro was a promising young man with aspirations to serve his country. His return from Turkey was filled with hope and ambition, and he was looking forward to participating in the NYSC programme. Family members have expressed that his untimely death has left an irreplaceable void in their lives.

The news of Victor’s passing has sent shockwaves through the Benue South Senatorial District and beyond. Colleagues, friends, and political associates of Senator Moro have expressed their condolences, offering support to the grieving family during this difficult time. The community has rallied around them, sharing prayers and messages of comfort.

Official statements from Senator Moro’s family or office have not yet been released, and investigations into the accident are ongoing. Authorities are working to gather more details about the circumstances surrounding the crash, and updates are expected in the coming days.

The Moro family’s loss has drawn widespread sympathy from across Nigeria. Many have expressed heartfelt condolences and prayers for strength and resilience. As the family mourns, the nation stands in solidarity, sharing in their grief and hoping for justice and answers regarding the tragic accident.
