A political support group in Ondo State has pledged to deliver strong backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming election, attributing their commitment to the president’s reform agenda and the leadership of Olubunmi Tunji‑Ojo, Minister of Interior.
The group stated that Tinubu’s bold policy initiatives, including fuel subsidy removal and currency reforms, reflect clear leadership and have given Ondo State reason to commit to his candidacy. “President Tinubu is not a trial‑and‑error leader; he knows his onions,” the group’s director-general said.
They credited Tunji‑Ojo for aligning the state with federal initiatives and for delivering key infrastructure projects, including the dualisation of the Ore‑Akure Road and improvements to the Lagos‑Calabar Coastal Highway, as tangible signs of progress.
The group reported that its grassroots network now spans all 18 local government areas of Ondo, with ward-level coordinators mobilized to secure over 80 percent of votes for Tinubu, surpassing the 67 percent the state delivered in 2023.
Members stressed that this mobilization is both a demonstration of gratitude and a strategic effort: “When you benefit from a system, the best you can do is invite others to benefit too,” one coordinator said.
The group called on all supporters of the Renewed Hope Agenda to unite behind Tinubu’s candidacy and Tunji‑Ojo’s leadership, ensuring Ondo State delivers decisively at the polls.
