Khamenei Tells Trump To Keep Dreaming Over Claims Of Destroying Iran’s Nuclear Sites

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has dismissed United States President Donald Trump’s claims that American strikes destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Speaking through his official website on Monday, Khamenei mocked Trump’s statement, saying the former president was “living in a dream world.” He emphasized that Iran’s nuclear capabilities remain intact and stronger than ever, despite U.S. and Israeli attacks earlier this year.

The controversy began after Trump, during a speech at the Israeli Knesset last week, bragged that U.S. forces had “obliterated” key Iranian nuclear sites during coordinated airstrikes in June. “We dropped 14 bombs on Iran’s key nuclear facilities, totally obliterating them, and that’s been confirmed,” Trump claimed. The remarks have stirred international reactions, with analysts questioning the accuracy of his statement.

In response, Khamenei fired back, questioning the United States’ right to dictate Iran’s sovereign affairs. “Keep dreaming,” he said, insisting that no foreign power has the authority to decide what Iran should or should not possess. He described Trump’s comments as “improper, wrong, and bullying,” and added that such rhetoric only exposes America’s continued interference in the Middle East.

Reports indicate that while the U.S. and Israel launched multiple strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in June, the real impact of the attack remains unclear. According to Pentagon sources, the assault may have delayed Iran’s nuclear program by only one to two years  far less than the total destruction claimed by Trump. An earlier U.S. intelligence assessment also suggested the damage was “limited and repairable.”

Khamenei accused the U.S. of fabricating achievements to boost political image, especially as tensions remain high between Washington and Tehran. He also reiterated Iran’s commitment to developing peaceful nuclear technology, stressing that no amount of military pressure would force the nation into submission. “Our enemies dream of breaking Iran’s strength, but Iran will never bow,” he declared.

The June conflict, which began just before a planned round of nuclear negotiations between the U.S. and Iran, has further derailed diplomatic efforts. Tehran has since refused to resume talks unless Washington guarantees that no further military action will be taken. As Khamenei noted, “Iran’s resolve stands firm  our program is unbroken, and our future remains in our own hands.”
