Kwara Church Attack: Cute Abiola Demands Action Over Words

Comedian Cute Abiola has called on the Federal Government and the Kwara State Government to take real action following the attack on a Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku by suspected bandits.

He made the statement while reacting to a viral clip showing worshippers fleeing during the incident.

According to him, the video of an elderly woman running for safety inside the church was heartbreaking and clearly showed how unsafe Nigeria has become. He said the church should have been a place of refuge, but instead, it became a scene of fear and panic.

Abiola urged authorities to stop issuing routine press statements, stressing that Nigerians were tired of hearing the same assurances. He said what people need now is genuine protection, not promises that are forgotten after a week. He insisted that only practical results can restore public confidence.

He said on his X handle that Nigerians “don’t want another press statement” and that government officials should stop claiming they are “on top of the situation” without backing it up with visible action. His comments reflect growing frustration over recurring attacks in various parts of the country.

In a related reaction, DJ Neptune also expressed concern about rising insecurity, saying nowhere in the country feels safe anymore. He reminded authorities that they had promised to end insurgency but noted that the situation has worsened instead of improving.

Both entertainers urged the government to fulfill its promises and put an end to attacks that continue to inflict pain on innocent citizens.
