The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has strongly condemned the recent attack on Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke‑Isegun, in Eruku, Kwara State, calling the killings and abductions a “gory and heinous act.”
PFN National President Bishop Francis Wale Oke said the violence goes beyond a senseless tragedy he sees it as “a stark manifestation of the escalating genocide against Christians in Nigeria.”
In a statement, Bishop Oke said the attack is not only an assault on human life but also a test of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to protecting all citizens. He warned that the assault may be part of a calculated effort to destabilize national unity, urging the president to show “unwavering leadership” in response.
PFN expressed deep sympathy with the church and government leaders. Bishop Oke extended condolences to Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, the global CAC community, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the people of Eruku and Kwara State. He said, “Our hearts are heavy, and our prayers are with all those affected by this senseless violence.”
The fellowship urged the federal government to act swiftly to bring the attackers to justice. According to PFN, decisive action is needed to end this “needless waste of human lives” and prevent further attacks.
Bishop Oke also called on Nigerians regardless of faith to stay alert, united, and prayerful during these difficult times. He emphasized that the PFN will continue to pray for divine guidance for President Tinubu and other national leaders, asking God to grant them wisdom and courage to protect all citizens.
Finally, PFN reiterated its commitment to promoting peace, justice, and the sanctity of life. Bishop Oke declared that the fellowship will not remain silent in the face of growing violence: “We will keep raising our voices until justice is done and every Nigerian, regardless of faith, can live in peace.”
