Manchester United are intensifying their efforts to sign Brentford’s star forward Bryan Mbeumo, with negotiations set to continue this week, according to sources close to the club. Despite failing to reach an agreement with Brentford last week, the Red Devils remain steadfast in their pursuit, with the 25-year-old Cameroon international reportedly prioritising a move to Old Trafford.
Mbeumo, who enjoyed a standout 2024-25 Premier League season, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists, has emerged as a key target for United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim. The versatile forward, capable of playing as a winger or striker, is seen as a perfect fit for Amorim’s dynamic 3-4-2-1 system, particularly as a right-sided No. 10.
