Rangers International FC to receive Trophy for emerging Champions of NPFL 2023/2024.
The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, will present the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) winner’s trophy to Rangers International FC of Enugu. The ceremony will take place at the New Zaria Road Stadium in Jos on Sunday.
Gusau, who is expected to be the main guest at the event, will honour the champions-elect, who secured their eighth Nigeria title by defeating Bendel Insurance 2-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium last weekend. The presentation will occur during their match against relegated Gombe United FC, a game set to evoke contrasting emotions.
While the much-loved Savannah Scorpions, Gombe United FC, are already contemplating life in the lower cadre of the Nigeria National League, the Flying Antelopes, 1977 Africa Cup Winners’ Cup champions, look forward to representing Nigeria in the prestigious CAF Champions League competition for the first time in many years.
