In the wake of Friday’s devastating terrorist attack in Moscow, Nigeria stands in solidarity with the Russian Federation, offering heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families.
The attack, which took place at Crocus City Hall during a concert, has claimed the lives of at least 115 individuals, including children, with many more sustaining injuries.
According to reports from Al Jazeera and various Russian media sources, the assailants, clad in camouflage attire, indiscriminately opened fire on concertgoers using automatic weapons. This barbaric act has been described as one of the most heinous attacks in Russia in recent years.
In a formal statement, Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, expressed the nation’s sympathy and support for Russian President Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia. Tuggar conveyed Nigeria’s profound condolences, emphasising the tragic loss of innocent lives and the multitude of injuries inflicted.
“Our hearts go out to the victims of this senseless violence, and we pray for the souls of the departed. We also extend our prayers for the swift recovery of those injured,” Minister Tuggar stated.
During this challenging time, Nigeria stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the Russian government and its citizens, offering unwavering solidarity and support.
